Saturday, February 17 & Sunday, February 18 10:00-2:00

Join the Headwaters for a fun day of bird education and birding activities. During this program, you’ll gain important skills and education that will allow you to join hundreds of thousands of citizen scientists across the country to help scientist learn more about what is happening to bird populations. This will be a great event for all ages and no birding experience is required!

Birding Walk
Saturday, February 17 & Sunday, February 18 8:00-10:00

Before the site opens to the public, experienced birders will have a chance to do some birding in a quieter setting. Walks will be led by members of the San Antonio Audubon Society. Only people with birding experience should attend this event. ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Book Talk: The Big Year
Thursday, February 22 10:00-2:00

Join the Headwaters for a talk on The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature and Fowl Obsession by Mark Obamascik. Read the book or watch the film before your visit and join librarian Lynn Thompson for a discussion in our pavilion at 11:30. Feel free to bring a lunch!
